Renovated in 1997, the Concert Hall is the biggest performance space in the Kennedy Center, seating 2,465. This state-of-the-art facility, which initially opened up in 1971, sets new criteria for availability and sound via a high-technology acoustical canopy, available places on every level, and brand-new seating sections (onstage boxes, chorister seats, and parterre seats). The 7 well known Hadeland crystal chandeliers, a gift from Normethod, are repositioned to clear the field of view from the 2nd tier center.
